Year By Year is a project started together
by Ignacio Pérez (designer and coder) and me. It raises the idea of exploring the relation between the visualization and perception of time by means of
non-traditional formats starting, for
example, from a particular object —a
calendar—. This opens up an invitation for both collaboration with new artists,
designers or programmers as well, to
generate tangible proposals (printed
matter, objects or installations) and
intangible experiences (on-screen or interactive) that communicate these ideas
and visual explorations.
The 2018 edition consisted on a self-made printed calendar of which we printed a limited edition of 100 focused on presenting the passing of time in a physical way, using a 4.5 meters long string of paper that accumulated on the floor each month.
